The Blackbird Men's mending kit won't win any award for practicality. It's not exactly travel friendly and won't fit easily into your overnight bag, nor can its glass container be trusted to the misshandling your luggage will undoubtedly suffer at an airport. For at-home use though, the kit will serve double duty as a usable piece of decoration. Contained inside you'll find a selection of needles, buttons & a measuring tape amongst many other useful supplies to handle those unavoidable mishaps.

. . . this weekend has been filled with such lovely things -- strong coffee and frothy lattes, chocolate & banana crêpes at sunday brunch, and dinner at a favourite restaurant {for dessert: a warm chocolate brownie with peanut butter mousse and banana ice cream, sprinkled with peanuts, and drizzled with the most decadent caramel sauce}, conversations from oceans away and taxis in the rain, time at the shops {a new shimmery gold top} and long walks in the late-may sun, the strains of opera music in the background and just the two of us . . .

To a life worth living

Everyone wants to do something with their life. Some more than others. But I've realised (with a little help from a great friend) at the age of 19, I don't know what I want to do with my life. As an apprentice chef I don't get much time to think (or sleep) and I've found that I've lost my joy in just living life.

 If you're nodding your head in total agreement right now, this blog is devoted to you.   

So in order to avoid wasting the next few years of my life in a pile of self pity, I'm going to start a blog. To express my thoughts, share my inspiration, and find out what I'm passionate about (and what I want to do with my life!) It can be kind of like an accountability thing between you and me (whoever you are). We will go on this journey together, we'll share our worries, joys, hopes, dreams and inspiration. We can laugh and cry, be crazy, happy and serious... and hopefully we can all have a life worth living.
